A majestic tree dominates the foreground of this landscape painting. Its upper branches reach for the heavens while being encircled by swirling clouds with just a hint of possible stormy weather. Trees have always been a favourite subject of mine and this painting celebrates little else. I have used a Tempera Grassa medium for most of the composition combined with an oil medium for much of the upper layers
